Mission Statement

The Lethbridge Cosmos club is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing competitive, educational soccer opportunities  to youth players. Our goal is to offer challenging soccer, and provide progression through competitive programs to provincial and national competitions, in doing so developing their skills, sportsmanship, respect and personal enjoyment in a team setting.

Who runs the Cosmos?

Players

In participating in the development program, players are required to show a strong dedication to soccer and a strong desire to develop soccer skills. 

Players can expect two practices and one game per week. Each team is expected to participate in three out of town tournaments as well as regional and provincial competitions. Players should attend all games and practices.

The development program promotes citizenship growth with a strong emphasis on education and healthy social behavior. Each team will function under a consistent set of rules and obligations. The goal is to be part of the organization, not just part of one team. 

Age groups for the Lethbridge Cosmos: U10 - U18

Parents are required to:

• Provide support to your son in the program 

• Work up to 7 bingos per year and one casino every second year. Fundraising is not limited to the summer months but is a year round activity.

• Arrange for the transport of your son to games, practices, and tournaments. Parents should be aware that there is Sunday play.

• Recognize that the coaching will be done by the coaches. Any coaching concerns should be directed to the team representative who will voice the concern to the Cosmos Board. 

• Insure that issued uniforms  are properly taken care of and returned to the coach at the end of the season. Replacement cost will be levied to players who do not return their uniforms.
