Welcome to the Lethbridge Cosmos Soccer Club. I am happy to be the new president of the club after being with the club for over 11 years in various positions from working with the development teams, head coach of the 88’s, equipment director, treasurer, and vice president.

Over the years the club has gone through many changes. These changes are continuing with rep players no longer playing in house league and a better working relationship with the LSA. There will also be changes taking place for this outdoor season to improve the quality of the rep program.

The Cosmos represent boys for Tier 1 and 2 Rep soccer from U10 to U18. Presently we have 9 teams playing in the 2006/2007 indoor season. The players within the club compete by playing in tournaments throughout North America and in the Calgary Premier league.

The Cosmos are one of the only clubs outside of Calgary and Edmonton that have Tier 1 teams that compete for the rights to attend the Canadian Nationals.

In the past year Cosmos teams won provincial indoor U16 Tier 2 silver and U14 Tier 2 silver and Outdoor U12 Tier 2 gold, U18 Tier 2 bronze.

I would like to wish all the teams’ good luck in their quest for provincial gold in the upcoming indoor provincials in March and outdoor provincials in 2007.
